Pricing

The value play against hiring.

Compare Praxis to a payroll line, not a software subscription. A senior bookkeeper costs $55–75K/year. Professional tier is $15,270/year.

Founding 10: Lock this rate for life. First 10 firms keep their founding price as we raise rates. No contracts — stay because it works, keep your rate because you believed early.

An "active client" = any entity with at least one automation running (email routing, bookkeeping classification, or scheduled video delivery). Inactive or archived clients don't count toward your cap.

What you're really comparing this to

Staff vs. platform cost comparison

The question isn't "can I afford Praxis?" It's "can I afford to keep spending $100K+ on staff for work Praxis handles automatically?"

Bookkeeping + close automation $55,000–75,000/yr

Not sure which tier fits your firm?

Watch the 3-minute tier selector. Askia walks through each scenario: solo practitioner, 5–10 person firm, full-stack operation. You'll know which tier is yours before the video ends.

Starter Solo to 5 staff, email + calendar is your biggest pain point
Professional 5–15 staff, doing monthly close for 30+ business clients
Enterprise 10–20 staff, want the full stack including client video delivery

FAQ

Every question a skeptical CPA asks.

Every question a skeptical firm owner asks. Answered here, not in a sales call.

Do I need to change my practice management software?

No. Praxis integrates with TaxDome, Karbon, and Canopy. Your existing workflow stays intact. We connect on top of what you already use — we don't replace it.

What if I use Xero instead of QuickBooks?

Both are fully supported. We connect via OAuth on both platforms. Your choice of bookkeeping software doesn't affect any other feature.

What does my client actually see?

Your logo. Your domain. A video that looks like you recorded it. They see your branded portal, your branded emails, your branded reports. The Praxis name never appears anywhere your clients can see.

Can I start with Starter and upgrade later?

Yes. Upgrade anytime. Your integrations, configurations, and data carry forward. There's no re-onboarding penalty for upgrading — you pick up exactly where you left off.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. Month-to-month, cancel anytime with 30 days notice. Annual option saves the equivalent of 2 months. If you're in the founding cohort, your rate locks at your signup price regardless of how long you stay.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

You get a full export — CSV for transaction data, PDF for workpapers and reports. We delete your data within 30 days of cancellation per our Privacy Policy. You own your data at all times.

Do you have SOC 2 or HIPAA compliance?

SOC 2 Type I is in progress — targeting Q1 certification. HIPAA-eligible infrastructure is available on the Enterprise tier: we execute a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) and your PHI is handled on AWS under our BAA with them.

How many clients can I manage per tier?

Starter: 50 active. Professional: 150 active. Enterprise: unlimited. An "active client" is any entity with at least one automation running (email routing, bookkeeping classification, or scheduled video delivery). Archived clients don't count. Overage above your cap: $10/active client/month.

Can multiple partners have their own avatar?

Enterprise includes up to 3 partner avatars. Additional avatars are $200/month each. Each avatar requires a separate headshot + 2-minute voice sample. Training takes 48 hours per avatar.

What's the setup fee for?

Starter has no setup fee — onboarding is fully self-serve. Professional's $497 setup covers integration configuration by our team and branded workpaper template generation. Enterprise's $1,497 setup includes a dedicated onboarding specialist, twin training session, custom domain/CNAME configuration, and full integration testing.

What if the AI makes a mistake on a client's books?

It asks first. Nothing posts to QBO or Xero without meeting your confidence threshold. Below-threshold transactions route to your approval queue, where you see the vendor, the amount, the AI's guess, and the confidence score. You approve, reclassify, or reject. Only if you explicitly raise the auto-approve limit does the AI act without your review — and even then, every action is logged and reversible within 30 days.

How is this different from Botkeeper, Bench, or Karbon?

Botkeeper does bookkeeping automation only. Bench outsources bookkeeping for small businesses. Karbon manages workflow. None of them deliver client-facing video. None of them white-label under your brand. None of them integrate communication, bookkeeping, and client delivery into one system. Praxis does all of it — as a single platform — under your firm's identity.

What do I need to get started?

Admin access to your email platform (Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace), admin access to QBO or Xero, and for Enterprise: a headshot and 2 minutes of recorded audio from your phone. That's it. No IT department. No custom development.
